Policies / Ground Rules / Terms of Service:

We welcome you as a new client to Green Clean. It's our great pleasure to serve you in ways that make your life easier, and we hope that your experience with us will be a pleasant one. We encourage you to let us know whenever you feel our service is even slightly below your expectations. Your immediate feedback allows us to make any necessary improvements to ensure that Green Clean remains the premiere eco-friendly cleaning service in New York City.

Forms of Payment / Returned Check Charges:
  • We require that a valid credit card be on file at the time we schedule your initial cleaning. However, you may pay using whatever method is most convenient for you — cash, personal or business check, or a credit card.
  • For residential clients, payment must be made by cash, check, or credit card at the time of the cleaning. Although we do not invoice residential clients because of the increased costs involved, we can provide a sales receipt for your records. We are able to invoice commercial clients upon credit approval.
  • There is a $20.00 charge for checks returned unpaid by your bank.
  • We accept the following major credit cards:

  • As a convenience, we can arrange automatic billing of your credit card for regular cleanings, or we can accept credit card payments for individual cleanings whenever you choose.
Rates / Services:

Details concerning rates and services can be found in the .PDF version of our Rate Sheet, which is also available for download from the "rates" section of this website. A printed copy of our rate sheet will be provided to you at the time of your initial onsite estimate.

Lateness / Missed Appointments:

Although we really do our best to arrive on time, sometimes things don't go as planned. Occasionally we might be running a bit late because of an unexpected situation at an earlier cleaning. But more often than not, if we're late, it's because there's a problem with the subway. When that happens, there's almost never any way to contact you . . . we're stuck on a train in a tunnel somewhere!

So, we are not able to commit to an arrival time of, say 9:00 am sharp or 1:00 pm sharp. Instead, we promise that we will arrive within +/-20 minutes of our scheduled appointment.

  • If we are more than 20 minutes late, you get one half-hour of cleaning at no charge.
  • If we fail to give you at least 24 hours advance notice of a schedule change or cancellation, then you get one full hour of cleaning at no charge. (We realize that your time is valuable too!)
Lock-Outs / Forgotten Appointments:
  • Should you fail to give us notice of a cancellation at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled cleaning time, a cancellation fee would apply as described below:
$50.00 1.0 hr. @ $30.25 for your cleaner + $19.75 admin. fee
$ 5.00 Round-trip subway fare for your cleaner
$55.00 Total Cancellation Fee*

*This fee is necessary because we must pay your cleaner for their wait time and round-trip subway fare.
  • If we're locked out and/or you forget to cancel your appointment, our cleaners have instructions to wait for exactly 1/2 hour at your location and to call you on the telephone during that time, just in case you were in the shower (or whatever!) and didn't hear us ring your bell.
  • They're also instructed to contact Cesar, just in case you called him with special last minute instructions or called after hearing one of our cleaner's phone messages.
  • If you did forget your appointment, the best course of action is to call Cesar on his cellular phone. He could reschedule your cleaning at that time, and then advise your cleaner of the situation.
  • Your cleaner receives one hour of their regular hourly pay plus round-trip subway fare to compensate them for their time. (They were counting on those hours for their children's college fund!)
Laundry:
  • We will gladly do laundry if the machines are within your apartment or in your building. Please leave a prepaid laundry card or an ample supply of quarters, if we must use the machines in your building.
3 hr. cleaning 1 load max. dried/folded (if time permits)
4-5 hr. cleaning 2 load max. dried/folded (if time permits)
6-8 hr. cleaning 3 load max. dried/folded (if time permits)
  • This service is performed as a courtesy and provides added value for our clients. We must limit the number of loads to make certain that we have sufficient time to completely dry your clothes. If the dryer is inside your apartment, we might leave the last load in the dryer as we are leaving. Please let us know if you have any special preferences. Laundry service beyond these limits will require that additional time be added to your cleaning. Special tasks such as ironing must be scheduled in advance and will require additional time.
